President Tinubu to Commission Upgraded West Africa Container Terminal at Onne

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to commission the newly upgraded West Africa Container Terminal (WACT) at Onne, Rivers State, Wednesday, 4th September.

The facility, operated by APM Terminals, now stands as Nigeria’s largest and most efficient container terminal outside Lagos, marking a major milestone in the country’s port infrastructure.

Jeethu Jose, Managing Director of WACT, described the project as a transformative moment for the nation’s port industry.

The upgrade, valued at $115 million (about N178.2 billion), began in 2021 and reflects APM Terminals and its partners’ dedication to boosting Nigeria’s maritime capacity.

“We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the upgrade of our terminal at Onne Port. This development is set to be a game-changer for Nigeria, and we’re thoroughly excited about the future it heralds,” Jose said.

“The fresh investment of $115 million is not only a testament to the trust and confidence that APM Terminals has in the Nigerian economy but also contributes significantly to our overarching mission of improving lives globally while fostering trade.”

WACT holds a special place in Nigeria’s maritime history as the first greenfield container terminal developed under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.

Located in the Oil and Gas Free Zone in Onne, it has become a key trade gateway, particularly for the economic activities in Eastern Nigeria, extending its reach beyond the traditional Lagos ports.

The terminal’s expanded capabilities were highlighted on August 15, 2020, when it handled the largest container vessel to ever dock at a Nigerian port.

The Maersk Stadelhorn, at 300 meters long and 48.2 meters wide, carried about 10,000 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEU) of containers, showcasing the terminal’s enhanced operational strength.

This achievement depicts WACT’s major role in facilitating large-scale trade and boosting Nigeria’s status in the global shipping industry.

The upcoming commissioning ceremony is expected to attract prominent dignitaries, reflecting the importance of the project.

Governors, Ministers, and heads of key government agencies such as the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC), Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), and the Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority (OGFZA) are expected to attend.

Representatives from major shipping companies, freight forwarding associations, and other stakeholders will also be present.

By enhancing the capacity and efficiency of Nigeria’s ports, the terminal will help ease the pressure on Lagos ports, streamline trade routes, and reduce shipping delays, ultimately lowering costs for businesses.

The upgraded WACT terminal is expected to spur economic growth in Rivers State and beyond.

Alhaji Asari says southerners laid foundation of what they are suffering today

By Mark Lenu

According to the Edi-Abali of Kalabari Kingdom, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo Asari, it was time to stop blaming the North, saying that the southerners laid the foundation of what they are suffering from.

The prominent Niger Delta leader historically drew the attention of Nigerians to how the British colonialists established federalism for the country in recognition of the fact that Nigeria is heterogeneous in nature.

The aim was to avert marginalization between the North and the South but some Southerners used the military commando style to destroy it, starting with the regime of late General Aguiyi Ironsi

Of all the Decrees enacted in Nigeria, none is more controversial than Decree No. 34 of 1966. It was promulgated on May 24, 1966, by then Head of State, Major General Johnson Aguiyi Ironsi. This was the Decree that started the destruction of regionalism which is still generating controversies till now.

Although, the next Head of State, retired General Yakubu Gowon repealed Decree 34 on August 31, 1966 through Decree 9, but a large portion of the Aguiyi Ironsi’s Decree 34 is still effective till today.

Alhaji Asari further mentioned former President Olusegun Obasanjo whose Land Use Act also brought severe disadvantages to the South. On March 29, 1978, the military administration of Olusegun Obasanjo, promulgated the Land Use Act 1978.

One notable disadvantage of the Land Use Act is the centralized control of land ownership in the hands of the government. Many have argued that the act has led to bureaucracy and inefficiencies in land transactions.

Speaking during a live video, Alhaji Asari said: “The southerners are the ones who laid the foundation of what they are suffering today. First, it was Aguiyi Ironsi’s Decree in 1966.

“General Olusegun Obasanjo (retdl also did his own in 1978 – 1979 by deliberately debasing the federal status of Nigeria. He promulgated a lot of laws including the Land Use Act. “Today, to whose advantage is the Land Use Act? The northern politicians who are smarter than us have used the Land Use Act against us.”

NAFDAC Issues Warning on Consumption of Bread

In recent times, social media has been abuzz with warnings from nutrition specialists and bloggers about the dangers of factory-manufactured foods, snacks, and drinks. And rightly so! The alarming rise in diseases like obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, cancers, strokes, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s disease has become a major health challenge in Nigeria. What’s even more disturbing is that these diseases, once associated with middle-aged and elderly individuals, are now affecting teenagers and younger children.

The culprit? Artificial foods and drinks are making our society sicker and more vulnerable to these lethal illnesses. Roseline Ajayi, NAFDAC’s South West Coordinator, recently sounded the alarm about the prevalence of poisonous bread in markets. According to her, bakers have resorted to using saccharine, a cheaper sugar substitute, since the price of sugar skyrocketed. But here’s the scary part: prolonged exposure to saccharine causes obesity, diabetes, hypertension, colorectal cancer, and other health issues.

The situation is further complicated by the fact that commercial food providers are using dangerous substances to remain profitable in an inflationary environment. Restaurant operators have been known to use harmful red oil substitutes, while popular fast foods, especially bread and pastries, remain largely unregulated. NAFDAC’s warning about the dangers of saccharine in bread is a wake-up call for all of us. As Ajayi aptly puts it, “They (bakers) are introducing ingredients that are not good for the health of consumers.” It’s time for us to take control of our health by making informed food choices.

The agency’s dissociation from a misleading video suggesting that Nigerians should completely avoid consuming bread is a relief. Instead, NAFDAC warns against the use of unapproved food additives like saccharine, which is not permitted in bread by the Nigerian Industrial Standard (NIS) and the Codex General Standard for Food Additives (GSFA). As we navigate this complex web of factory-produced foods, let’s remember that food is supposed to be medicine.

Healthy food should help our bodies prevent and fight diseases. It’s time to return to our native foods and drinks and to emphasize the dangers of consuming products made from unhealthy bleached wheat, refined sugar, macaroni, noodles, pastas, cakes, edible creams, sodas, and alcohols.

TG Omori talks about his kidney crashing

In a deeply moving revelation that has sent waves of shock through the Nigerian entertainment industry, renowned music video director ThankGod Omori, widely known as TG Omori, has opened up about his ongoing struggle with a kidney-related ailment. The news, delivered through a poignant Instagram post, has not only unveiled the gravity of his condition but also highlighted the immense sacrifices made by his family to give him another chance at life.

On Wednesday, TG Omori shared an image of himself lying on a hospital bed, visibly emotional and receiving oxygen, with a caption that has resonated with many. He revealed that his only brother had selflessly donated one of his kidneys to him in a life-saving transplant procedure. “Yesterday, my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again. Keep my spirit alive. I don’t wanna die,” he wrote, encapsulating the desperation and hope that has accompanied his battle with this life-threatening illness.

TG Omori, who has been conspicuously absent from the public eye for some time, has been dealing with this health crisis privately. His absence, now understood to be due to the severity of his condition, has been a source of concern among fans and colleagues, who had noted his cryptic tweets about his health over the past year.

It has now come to light that Omori has been grappling with kidney failure—a condition where the kidneys can no longer efficiently filter waste and excess fluids from the blood. This revelation has cast a new light on the personal struggles he has been enduring while continuing to contribute to the vibrant Nigerian music scene.

The gravity of his situation was further underscored when Omori disclosed that his recent kidney transplant at St. Nicolas Hospital in Lagos had failed. St. Nicolas, a leading medical facility in Nigeria, has been at the forefront of kidney transplants, making the news of the failed procedure even more heartbreaking. Kidney transplants, while life-saving, carry significant risks, including the possibility of organ rejection, where the body’s immune system attacks the transplanted kidney. Omori’s request for prayers reflects the precariousness of his condition and the uncertainty that lies ahead.

This health crisis has undoubtedly taken a tremendous emotional and professional toll on TG Omori. As one of the most innovative figures in Nigerian music video production, Omori’s work has been instrumental in shaping the visual identity of contemporary Nigerian music. His creative genius, characterized by bold, vibrant visuals and a unique storytelling approach, has earned him widespread acclaim and numerous accolades. However, this recent revelation serves as a sobering reminder that even the most celebrated individuals face battles that are often hidden from public view.

As TG Omori continues his fight for survival, the outpouring of support from fans, friends, and colleagues has been overwhelming. Social media platforms have been flooded with messages of encouragement, prayers, and well-wishes, all hoping for his speedy recovery. The entertainment industry, which has benefitted immensely from Omori’s contributions, is rallying behind him during this challenging time.

The road to recovery for TG Omori remains fraught with uncertainty. The complications arising from kidney failure and a failed transplant are serious, requiring ongoing medical care, emotional resilience, and financial resources. As he navigates this difficult journey, the love and support from his followers and the industry will undoubtedly serve as a crucial pillar of strength.

TG Omori’s decision to share his story is a testament to his bravery and vulnerability. It is a powerful reminder of the human side of the celebrities we admire—their struggles, fears, and hopes. As he faces this life-threatening challenge, the collective prayers and positive energy from those who have been touched by his work will hopefully light his path to recovery.

In the meantime, the world watches and waits, holding onto hope that TG Omori will emerge from this battle stronger, ready to continue his remarkable journey in the world of music and creativity.

Fuel crisis deepens in Nigeria as scarcity persists despite NNPC assurance

By Tina Amanda

The ongoing fuel crisis in Nigeria continues to disrupt daily life, as filling stations in major cities like Abuja, Lagos, and Port Harcourt remain shut due to stock shortages.

This shortage is in stark contrast to repeated assurances from the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) that sufficient fuel is in circulation.

Energy expert Dr. Joseph Obele, a former Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) chairman for Rivers State, has expressed frustration with the situation, accusing the NNPC of being insincere about the country’s fuel supply.

Obele emphasized that despite NNPC’s promises, the reality on the ground tells a different story.44ew

“Sincerely, I’m tired of talking about the same issue every time without any improvement. The endless fuel supply challenge in Nigeria has affected everyone in the country, both those in business and the working class.

“Last weekend, several filling stations were still shut down at Abuja, Lagos, and Port Harcourt because they were all out of stock. Yet NNPC management kept telling Nigerians that they had sufficient stock in circulation.

“They kept talking about distribution hurdles and so on. There is no fuel anywhere”.

According to Obele, the current fuel scarcity is due to the excessive cost of importing petrol from the international market, which has become “unbearable” for the NNPC. As a result, the company is unable to import sufficient quantities of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) for distribution across the country.

“NNPC should be sincere to Nigerians. The excessive cost of Importation from the international market becoming unbearable them, hence they are unable to import sufficient quantity of PMS for Distribution”.

“Marketers and retail outlets are running dry. They want to replenish, but there is nowhere to buy,” Obele said, noting that only one depot out of 19 in Rivers State is currently selling fuel, and even that one is rationing the limited supply it has.

“Reports indicate that some marketers have resorted to buying PMS through third-party sources at exorbitant rates, with prices soaring as high as ₦950 per liter. This is a far cry from the official rate of ₦566 per liter that marketers should be paying if purchasing directly from the NNPC’s online buying portal. However, the portal has been shut down for over three months.

“The NNPC is now selling indirectly to marketers through private depot owners who are charging above ₦900 per liter.

“This shift has exacerbated the supply crisis, leading to long queues at the few stations that still have fuel, as vehicles, motorcycles, and even individuals with jerrycans scramble for whatever fuel is available.

Obele warned that the scarcity has severely impacted Nigeria’s economy, with rising fuel prices contributing to inflation and worsening the plight of ordinary citizens.

“The high price of fuel is affecting every aspect of the economy, pushing the masses deeper into poverty and hardship”.

He also cautioned the federal government for the need to take urgent action as prices of all commodities will inevitably rise in response to the escalating cost of fuel.

Obele highlighted the need for Nigeria to resume local refining to reduce dependence on the volatile international market, stating, “As long as we continue buying our refined petroleum products from abroad, we will keep experiencing these supply and price turbulences.”

He remains hopeful that when Nigeria’s refineries return to full operation, supply will stabilize, and fuel prices will normalize. Stressing that until then, the country faces continued shortages, high prices, and an uncertain future for both businesses and consumers alike.

MOSOP knocks federal lawmakers for not carryingout proper oversight on Ogoni cleanup

By Mark Lenu

The Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) has lashed out at the House of Representatives Committee on Host Communities for commending the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP) over the cleanup of oil-impacted sites in Ogoni.

MOSOP said the House Committee’s position compromised the truth and had earned disappointment from the people as the lawmakers had failed in their obligation to stand for the people.

President of MOSOP, Fegalo Nsuke while speaking on a recent visit by the House Committee to Ogoni and the committee’s. commendation for the Ogoni cleanup said the House demonstrated a high level of ignorance and had compromised the truth about the Ogoni cleanup failures.

MOSOP in a statement made available to our correspondent said: “It is on record that the Ogoni cleanup exercise has received over N1 Trillion in the past eight years and nothing to show for it.

“The 2024 budget of HYPREP is N400 Billion. That is the budget of two Nigerian states put together. What have they got to show for it? Nothing!

“The House Committee in its remarks said it visited various project sites including the barricaded remediation site in Ogale, Eleme; the Centre of Excellence for Environmental Restoration, CEER; the Ogoni Specialist Hospital; Bori Cottage Hospital; Bori Water Scheme; Shoreline Remediation and Mangrove Restoration sites in Bomu, Gokana LGA, and while at the Mangrove Restoration site in Bomu, members of the committee also historically planted mangroves seedlings.”

But the MOSOP President questioned if those were what over N1 Trillion has done in the past eight years.

“They have spent over 1 Trillion and Ogoni does not have water. Instead of addressing the critical issues, they are busy seeking avenues to cover their loot.

“They have not provided water but they are funding frivolous exercises. Their work was to remediate Ogoni and not to be making frivolous expenses on House Committee’s visit” he said.

According to Nsuke, performance assessments are not done vaguely; they are done in relation to the amount of resources expended. HYPREP cannot spend over N1 Trillion and Ogoni will still be polluted.

“When you consider the past eight years’ expenditure of HYPREP, then you will appreciate how much damage HYPREP has done to the Ogoni society.

“Over 1 Trillion has been spent on remediation work in Ogoni and the people are still talking about pollution without drinkable water, whereas, clean water provision is the first thing that was to be addressed as an emergency,” Nsuke said.

He further urged the House of Representatives Committee on Host Communities to keep its oversight functions away from Ogoni if it cannot be courageous enough to speak out against the deceit and corruption that are glaring in HYPREP.

Nigerian Striker Osimhen Demands £500,000 Weekly to Join Chelsea Squad

The Chelsea-Victor Osimhen saga has taken a dramatic turn. The Super Eagles forward’s eye-watering wage demands have thrown a spanner in the works, leaving the Blues’ summer signing plans in disarray.

According to reports, Osimhen is seeking a staggering £500,000-a-week contract, a figure that would catapult him to the top of the Premier League’s highest-paid players list. The 25-year-old’s audacious ask has left Chelsea reeling, with negotiations stalled and no clear resolution in sight.

Despite weeks of talks with Napoli and Osimhen’s representatives, the London club remains at an impasse. Their initial loan proposal, which would have avoided triggering Osimhen’s £110 million release clause, was met with a firm rejection from the Italian side.

However, Napoli has since softened their stance, reducing their asking price to a more palatable £85 million. The sticking point remains Osimhen’s wages, which Chelsea is desperate to negotiate down.

The Nigerian striker’s determination to leave Napoli this summer is unwavering, with a formal transfer request already on the table. Paris Saint-Germain has also shown interest but has temporarily cooled their pursuit.

Chelsea’s long-term admiration for Osimhen drives their determination to secure the deal. To accommodate his demands, the club has been working overtime to trim their wage bill, a delicate balancing act that will require creative maneuvering.

Will Chelsea find a way to meet Osimhen’s sky-high expectations, or will their pursuit of the prolific forward end in disappointment? Only time will tell.

Saudi Club Wants Nigeria’s Osimhen

In a surprising turn of events, a new and unexpected club has thrown its hat into the ring to sign Napoli’s coveted striker Victor Osimhen this summer, with reports emerging that they have formally submitted a bid. Osimhen, who has been consistently linked with a high-profile transfer away from the Italian outfit, has been the subject of intense interest from multiple Premier League clubs over the past two seasons.

The Nigerian international’s impressive goal-scoring record and dominant performances on the pitch have made him a highly sought-after talent, with several top-tier clubs vying for his signature. The sudden entry of this new club into the mix has added a fresh layer of complexity to the transfer saga, potentially triggering a bidding war and further fueling speculation about Osimhen’s future. As the summer transfer window heats up, all eyes will be on Napoli’s response to the bid and Osimhen’s next move.

Joao Felix To Return To Chelsea

In recent weeks, Victor Osimhen has been at the center of intense transfer speculation, with Arsenal and Chelsea emerging as the front-runners to secure his signature. The Nigerian striker’s impressive form has caught the attention of both London clubs, who are eager to bolster their attacking options. Interestingly, Chelsea’s pursuit of Osimhen has taken on added significance, as they have reportedly already reached an agreement with Napoli to sign Romelu Lukaku, potentially paving the way for Osimhen’s departure from the Italian club.

This development has created a fascinating transfer dynamic, with Arsenal and Chelsea now vying for Osimhen’s services. As the transfer window reaches its climax, it remains to be seen whether Osimhen will opt for the Emirates Stadium or Stamford Bridge, or if Napoli will manage to retain their prized asset.

Furthermore, a new contender has emerged in the pursuit of Victor Osimhen’s signature, as Saudi club Al Ahli has submitted an initial bid to Napoli, according to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. The offer, reportedly exceeding €65million, has brought Al Ahli to the forefront of the transfer race, alongside Arsenal and Chelsea.

While Napoli and Al Ahli are close to reaching an agreement, with only minor details remaining to be finalized, Osimhen’s own commitment to the move remains uncertain. The Nigerian striker is weighing his options carefully, and his acceptance of the transfer is contingent upon two key conditions: a substantial salary and the inclusion of a release clause in his contract. This development adds a new layer of complexity to the transfer saga, as Osimhen’s priorities and Al Ahli’s willingness to meet his demands will ultimately determine the outcome of this unexpected bid.

Arsenal are reportedly one of the top contenders vying for Victor Osimhen’s signature this summer, with the Nigerian striker identified as a key priority signing for the Gunners ahead of the transfer window’s closure this week. As Arsenal seek to bolster their attacking lineup, Osimhen’s impressive goal-scoring record and skillset make him an attractive target.

Meanwhile, Chelsea, despite already securing eight signings this summer, including the high-profile acquisition of Portuguese forward Joao Felix, is exploring multiple options to further strengthen their squad, with Osimhen remaining a consideration. Chelsea’s ongoing interest in Osimhen suggests that the Blues are leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of a prolific striker, even as they navigate a crowded and competitive transfer market. As the transfer window enters its final stages, both Arsenal and Chelsea will be eager to secure Osimhen’s services, setting the stage for a thrilling conclusion to the transfer saga.

Victor Osimhen’s impressive track record at Napoli, boasting 76 goals and 18 assists in 133 appearances, has understandably sparked widespread interest in the Nigerian striker. His remarkable goal-scoring prowess and overall performance have made him a coveted asset in the transfer market. However, Al Ahli’s attention is not solely focused on Osimhen, as they have also expressed interest in Brentford’s Ivan Toney.

The Saudi club has reportedly initiated talks with the English striker, although any potential deal remains in its infancy due to Toney’s significant salary demands of €20 million (£17 million). Notably, Toney’s omission from Brentford’s squad for the second time this season has fueled speculation about his impending departure from the club, making a transfer to Al Ahli an increasingly plausible scenario. As Al Ahli navigates multiple options to bolster their attacking lineup, both Osimhen and Toney remain key targets, with the Saudi club eager to secure a high-profile striker before the transfer window closes.

‘Shut Your Mouth’ Nicholas Jackson Tells Mikel Obi

Chelsea’s dominant 6-2 victory over Wolves on Sunday at Molineux Stadium was significantly bolstered by the outstanding performance of Jackson. The Senegalese international made a blistering start to the Premier League match, scoring the opening goal just 98 seconds into the game. His lightning-fast strike set the tone for the Blues’ convincing win. Jackson’s influence didn’t stop there, as he also played a crucial role in Chelsea’s second goal, providing the assist for Cole Palmer to unleash a powerful long-range shot that found the back of the net. Throughout the match, Jackson’s pace, skill, and vision on the pitch were instrumental in Chelsea’s triumph, making him a standout player in the convincing victory.

The 23-year-old’s impressive performance comes on the heels of criticism from Chelsea legend Mikel, who questioned his quality following a lackluster display in the 2-0 defeat to Manchester City just a week prior. In a candid interview on Bein Sports, Mikel expressed his concerns about the young striker’s ability to deliver goals, stating, “We need a striker who can consistently score, who knows how to find the back of the net, and unfortunately, that’s something we’re missing.” Mikel’s comments sparked debate, with some perceiving his words as disrespectful. However, Mikel clarified his intentions, saying, “I’m not trying to disrespect him; I’m just being honest about what Chelsea needs to succeed. We require a top-class striker who can make a difference and secure crucial goals.” The 23-year-old’s response on the pitch has silenced critics, at least for now, and demonstrated his potential to rise to the challenge and become the prolific goal-scorer Chelsea needs.

Following his outstanding performance against Wolves, Jackson seized the chance to respond to Mikel’s earlier criticism on social media. In a bold move, he tagged Mikel in an Instagram Story and posted a message that read: “Shut your mouth, don’t talk sh*t, we’re killing ourselves for Africa.” Jackson’s response was a clear retort to Mikel’s comments, implying that the Chelsea legend should focus on supporting the team rather than criticizing individual players. The phrase “we’re killing ourselves for Africa” suggests that Jackson and his teammates are giving their all for the continent, and that Mikel’s negative remarks were unwarranted. By speaking out, Jackson demonstrated his confidence and resilience, making it clear that he won’t be swayed by criticism and will continue to work hard to prove himself. The exchange has sparked a lively debate among fans and pundits, with some praising Jackson’s spirit and others calling for more respect towards Chelsea legends like Mikel.

Following his impressive performance against Wolves, Jackson will be looking to build on his momentum and make a significant impact when Chelsea faces Servette in the second leg of their Europa Conference League qualifying tie on Thursday. The 23-year-old striker, who enjoyed a productive campaign last season with 17 goals in 44 appearances for the Blues, will be eager to replicate his scoring form and help Chelsea secure a crucial victory. With the Europa Conference League qualifying tie hanging in the balance, Jackson’s contributions will be vital in determining the outcome. A strong display against Servette will not only boost Chelsea’s chances of advancing but also further silence critics like Mikel, who have questioned his ability to deliver on the big stage. As the Blues seek to take control of the tie, Jackson’s pace, skill, and finishing ability will be essential assets in unlocking the Servette defense and securing a vital win.

I See My Jail Term As A Vacation: Bobrisky Claims

Idris Okuneye, famously known as Bobrisky, the prominent cross-dresser, was released on August 5, 2024, after completing a six-month sentence for naira abuse, a charge stemming from his practice of spraying money at parties.

The social media influencer was sentenced to prison on April 12, 2024, by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos. The court decision did not offer an option for a fine, making Bobrisky’s jail term unavoidable.

Bobrisky, has caused a stir once again after expressing his willingness to return to the Kirikiri Correctional Centre, where he recently served time.

In a candid conversation on the show Curiosity Made Me Ask, hosted by popular content creator Bae U Barbie, Bobrisky surprised many by saying he viewed his time in jail as a form of relaxation. “I see my jail term as a vacation. You know, on vacation, you go and rest. I’ve been working so hard, and I think their decision was okay for me,” Bobrisky said.

Bobrisky insisted that his imprisonment failed to break him. “The decision was to break me, but sadly, nothing happened to Mummy of Lagos. I’m still fine, I’m still good, and I will continue to be fine and good,” he added confidently.

The host, Bae U, jokingly asked if Bobrisky would be open to returning to prison, to which Bobrisky responded, “I would love to go, maybe for a short term like that again. Short term, not long-term.”

Explaining his stance further, Bobrisky questioned the legitimacy of his sentence. “The reason why I would love to go again is that these people really want to break me. I have never seen anywhere you are going to sentence someone to prison for spraying money.

“It’s funny to me. Everything happened like a movie. Spraying of money? It’s my money. I’m not owing anybody money. I did not steal money. I did not kidnap, I did not rape. I did not kill anybody. I spent my own hard-earned money, and I was sentenced to where we have a lot of criminals.

“I’m a very strong person. If I have chosen this lifestyle to be who I wanna be, then I should be ready for the worst.

“And the worst that has happened is sending me to prison because, obviously, I did not do anything, I did not kill anybody.”

Bobrisky revealed that while he still intends to spray money at events, he will no longer use the Nigerian naira.

“I’m not an ex-convict because I can’t be convicted for spraying money. So I won’t accept it,” he stated firmly.

“I am still going to spray money, but I will only spray dollars, not naira,” he said, hinting at a change in his approach to avoid future legal issues.
