Digital Devices Bring E-Learning To Rivers State Classrooms

The educational landscape of Rivers State is experiencing a profound transformation with the launch of a new initiative aimed at integrating digital learning devices and e-learning platforms into public school classrooms. In a move designed to bridge the technological gap and prepare students for the digital age, the Rivers State Ministry of Education, in partnership with technology firms, has commenced the distribution of tablets and laptops to students and teachers, alongside providing internet access in selected pilot schools across the state.

During the official launch ceremony in Port Harcourt, Governor Wike, represented by the Commissioner for Education, Dr. Alice Nwafor, highlighted the importance of this digital leap. “Education in the 21st century must embrace technology.
