Nollywood actress and former Actors Guild of Nigeria president, Ibinabo Fiberesima, is back on screen with a new YouTube series titled “SISI,” which is currently being released in episodes online.
The series is being shot in Port Harcourt and is part of the growing shift in Nollywood where filmmakers now focus on YouTube and other digital platforms to reach audiences directly.
Instead of waiting for cinema distribution or TV deals, creators are now dropping episodes gradually, allowing viewers to follow stories in real time as they develop.
“SISI” is already gaining attention as new episodes begin to roll out.
The series presents a drama-style storyline that reflects everyday Nigerian life, with themes and characters that are still unfolding as the project continues.
Another key part of the project is its location in Port Harcourt, which gives it a strong local identity.
The production is also opening doors for emerging actors from the area, many of whom are getting screen exposure for the first time through the series.
Ibinabo Fiberesima is a Nigerian actress, model, and filmmaker from Rivers State who rose to fame in the late 1990s as Nollywood expanded into home video films.
She first gained public attention through beauty pageants before transitioning into acting, where she became known for her strong screen presence in early Nollywood hits like “Most Wanted.”
Over the years, she grew beyond acting into film production and industry leadership, eventually becoming the first female president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria.
Despite facing public controversy later in her career, she has remained active in the entertainment industry.
She is now back in the spotlight with her new YouTube series “SISI,” filmed in Port Harcourt, marking her return to on-screen storytelling in Nollywood’s digital era.
