Port Harcourt is set to welcome a striking new landmark as popular cleric Apostle Joseph Cookey embarks on an ambitious church project that has already caught the attention of residents and the indigenous people of Rivers State alike.
The founder of Awesome God Ministries has officially launched the construction of a 10,000-seat auditorium, a move that got people talking including the expanding influence in the city.
The project promises to become a central hub for large gatherings, not only for worshippers but also for community events and city-wide programs.
The ceremonial flag-off was conducted by his mentor, Pastor Sunny Cookey, during an event attended by supporters, church members, and notable guests.
Speaking at the ceremony, Apostle Cookey expressed unwavering confidence in the successful completion of the project, encouraging attendees with a message of optimism that anything initiated this year can reach fruition.
Once completed, the facility will significantly enhance the church’s capacity to host thousands of visitors, positioning the religious gathering place as a major presence in Port Harcourt’s social and cultural landscape, and adding a notable architectural increase to Rivers Sates’s skyline.
