‎Rivers Federation Cup: Rivers Utd begin title defence from quarter-finals‎‎


‎The draws for the 2026 Rivers State President’s Federation Cup (PFC) have been completed, establishing the groundwork for an exhilarating knockout tournament in both the men’s and women’s divisions.

‎The current champions, Rivers United, have received a bye into the subsequent round, providing them with a direct route to the quarterfinals where they will compete against the victor of the match between Starr FC and Reign FC. This match is set for April 8 at 12:00pm.

‎The initial round will feature a number of captivating matchups. Tobinsnet FC will go head-to-head with DeCardinal FC on April 10 at 3:00pm, while Willbros FC will challenge Prime7 FC on April 13 at 12:00pm. Later that same day, De-Future Stars FC will confront Ereme Jackson FC at 4:00pm.

‎As the defending champions, Rivers United will commence their campaign on April 16 at 3:00pm against the winner of the Starr FC versus Reign FC match.

‎The semifinals are slated for April 20 and 21. The winner of the Tobinsnet FC versus DeCardinal FC match will face the winner of the Willbros FC versus Prime7 FC match on April 20, while the winner of the De-Future Stars FC versus Ereme Jackson FC match will compete against Rivers United or their opponent on April 21.

‎The final of the men’s tournament is scheduled for April 25 at 3:00pm.

‎In the women’s division, the multiple-time champions, Rivers Angels, have also been granted a bye and will await the overall winners from a round-robin series involving PH Future Queens, Osklean, and Sporting Angels.

‎PH Future Queens will compete against Osklean on April 10 at 1:00pm, followed by Osklean facing Sporting Angels on April 13 at 2:00pm. The final group match between Sporting Angels and PH Future Queens is arranged for April 20 at 1:00pm.

‎The overall winners of these three matches will progress to the final, where they will encounter Rivers Angels on April 25 at 1:00pm.

‎Matches will be held at two venues: Sharks Stadium and the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.
