Port Harcourt Music: Omah Lay Reveals “Upside Down” Album Hack

Port Harcourt’s biggest music export, Omah Lay, sent shockwaves through the Nigerian entertainment scene last night during an emotional Lagos Warehouse Session.

Speaking to a packed crowd just hours before the official release of his sophomore album, Clarity of Mind, on Friday, April 3, 2026, the “Holy Ghost” singer revealed that he was forced to re-record the entire project after his creative ideas were stolen.

The artist, born Stanley Omah Didia, delivered a cryptic yet viral tip to his listeners, urging them to “listen to the album upside down” to fully grasp the hidden narrative and sonic layers he embedded following a major security breach that nearly derailed his career.

The revelation follows months of speculation regarding the delay of the project, which was originally teased in late 2024.

Omah Lay admitted that his “security was breached” by someone he trusted, leading to his original recordings being leaked or “stolen.”

Visibly shaken yet defiant, the Port Harcourt native emphasized that the betrayal felt like an attack on his roots.

“When you f#ck with my craft, it’s not just me you’re f#cking with,” the singer declared to the cheering crowd.

“There’s a lot of people from PH who you’re f#cking with.

There are generations that depend on my craft.” He further noted that the incident served as a wake-up call to tighten his inner circle and digital security infrastructure to protect the “PH sound” he represents globally.

As of Friday morning, April 3, 2026, Clarity of Mind has debuted at the top of the streaming charts in Nigeria.

The 13-track project, which features a lone guest appearance by Elmah, is already being hailed as a “sonic masterpiece of recovery.

” Omah Lay’s decision to remake the album from scratch rather than release a compromised version has been praised by industry peers as a testament to his artistic integrity.

For the Port Harcourt community, the album is more than just music; it is a successful defense of their creative territory against those who sought to exploit it.
