Osimhen Backed for Man United Move as Butt Says He Can Elevate Sesko

Former Manchester United midfielder Nicky Butt has urged the club to make a move for Victor Osimhen, insisting the striker has what it takes to transform their attack.

Butt believes United need more firepower up front and says Osimhen could be the perfect addition alongside Benjamin Sesko.

“I don’t think Sesko can carry the club up front on his own, they will need another No.9,” Butt said.

Rather than replacing Sesko, Butt suggested Osimhen would complement him and even raise his level.

“I don’t think he needs replacing, but someone better than him who can lift his game as well,” he added.

Osimhen, currently with Galatasaray, has been widely linked with a move this summer, and Butt is convinced the Nigerian forward has the qualities needed to succeed in the Premier League.

“I know Osimhen isn’t proven in the Premier League, but you look at his physicality and the way he plays football, he can definitely handle it,” he said.

He also highlighted the striker’s all-round ability from his pace and strength to his aerial threat and finishing.

“I think he is powerful, quick, he can run in behind, he’s strong, he can score different types of goals, he’s good in the air.”

With Manchester United expected to strengthen their attack, Osimhen’s name continues to stand out as one of the most talked-about options ahead of the summer transfer window.
