Resident of Rumuodogo Community, Ward 14, in the Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, have expressed concern over the dilapidated state of the Modern Community Primary School in the community.
Mr Ezekweru Harcourt Osimiri, in a post on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, expressed worry that the children were learning under an unsafe environment.
Osimiri called for the immediate intervention of the state governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, the Rivers State Ministry of Education, the State Post Primary Schools Board, Mr Sam Ogeh, the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Martins Amaewhule.
He also appealed to Nigeria Social Media Influencer, Mr Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, to come to their aid to avert the collapse of the school.
Osimiri, also urged the Emohua Local Government Chairman, Hon. Chidi Lloyd, to urgently intervene by rehabilitating the school to give the children a much better learning environment.
His words, “Rumuodogo community is in ward 14 in Emohua LGA of Rivers state. It’s one of the communities that makes up the ward, with a huge voting Strength, abundance resources both in human and natural resources, contributing significantly to the economic growth and potentials of LGA.

“Rumuodogo community is 10 minutes away drive to access the LGA headquarters at Rumuakunda Emohua. Also, Rumuodogo community is easily accessible, as it has a very wide linkage to the federal East-West Road.
“Unfortunately, the state of the modern community primary school, where the supposed futures of tomorrow learn from. In our conscience of conscience, if we are still humans and humanity still resonates in our thoughts, is this place habitable enough to raise cows, goats, Rabbits and chickens?
“Interestingly, this is where our children learn from day to day. The attention of the local government chairman, Hon. Barr. Chidi Lloyd Dr. Chidi Lloyd. has severally been called to this, but in his usual Manner, he has neither visited nor done anything about it.
“This same local government chairman, donated sets of computers to a private school owned my an individual big man from Emohua, yet he sees no need to address a burning issue as delicate as this completely dilapidated nature of the learning environment of this community school.”
