Bonny LG Chair Targets Clean Sweep of 12 Wards for 2027 Election

Ahead of the 2027 general elections in Nigeria, Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hon. Abinye Blessing Pepple, has given the assurance that the All Progressives Congress (APC), will emerge victorious in his LGA.

Pepple gave this assurance on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, when he received the Ukanafun Indigenous Association, Bonny chapter, on a courtesy visit at the Government Lodge, Bonny. He expressed confidence that APC would win the entire 165 polling units and 12 political wards in Bonny for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all candidates of the APC, come 2027.

The council boss pledged his unwavering commitment to ensure Tinubu’s victory, also, to ensure he delivers all APC candidates that would emerge from the forthcoming primaries of the APC in the LGA.

He further lauded the president for what he described as his commitment towards the opening of Bonny-Bodo Road, as well as, the approval for the construction of its second phase towards the East-West Road through the Ministry of works.

While expressing his appreciation to the Ukanafun Community for their believed loyalty, the council boss assured that he would continue to collaborate and ensure an inclusive development in the LGA. Also, he reiterated his administration’s commitment to the Small, Median Enterprise empowerment scheme for women.

On behalf of the delegation from Ukanafun Community, the President, Mr Owoidighe Abasi Friday, commended the chairman, explaining that “this visit is to identify with the leadership of the council chairman, Abinye Blessing Pepple.

“The visible development strides in Bonny have rekindled hope among residents, which has strengthened our resolve to mobilise for the APC and secure victory across all 12 wards and 165 polling units in 2027.”
