Rivers United Gets New Fixtures

The official announcement of the rescheduled Rivers United FC’s outstanding fixtures has been made by the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), following the club’s exit from the CAF Champions League.

‎In a circular released on Wednesday, dated 11th of February 2026 and signed by Davidson Owumi, who is currently the NPFL Chief Operating Officer, the league body informed the affected clubs that the backlog of matches involving Rivers United has now been cleared for new dates to ensure a smooth continuation of the 2025/26 NPFL season.

‎According to the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL), the adjustments were necessary to maintain competitive balance and allow Rivers United to fully reintegrate into domestic action after their continental campaign.
