‎NSCDC To Deploy AI In Crime-Fighting‎

The Commandant-General (CG) of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Ahmed Audi, has urged personnel to incorporate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into their investigations to enhance both response time and accuracy.

‎The Commandant-General made this appeal on Wednesday 11th of February in Abuja, during the conclusion of a two-day workshop titled “Forensic and Artificial Intelligence in the 21st Century.”

‎In his advocacy for the adoption of advanced technology to align with global best practices, he emphasized that the integration of forensic science and AI is crucial for evidence-based operations, leading to improved accuracy, quicker response times, and successful prosecutions.

‎He stated that the ethical and professional use of these technologies will greatly enhance the corps’ ability to safeguard lives and protect vital national assets.

‎He reiterated that crime has evolved to become more sophisticated, driven by technology, and transnational in nature, thus necessitating the adoption of new technological trends in security investigations.

‎The Commandant-General (CG) of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) highlighted the significance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in areas such as data analysis, pattern recognition, biometric identification, digital forensics, and predictive intelligence.

‎Audi encouraged participants to apply the knowledge acquired during the workshop to achieve practical investigative results that align with the corps’ mandate.
