Evo Assembly Reaffirms Unwavering Support For Wike, Others

The Evo Assembly has reiterated its steadfast backing for the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Nyesom Wike, pledging to remain solidly behind him in all political and developmental endeavours.

The declaration came from the President of the Evo Assembly, Elder Peter Chinwo, during a well-attended meeting held in Rumuomasi (Ward 8), Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Elder Chinwo highlighted the Evo people’s appreciation for Wike’s leadership qualities, his formidable political structure, and the tangible developmental impacts he has brought to bear on Evo land, Rivers State, and the nation at large.

He stressed that the Assembly would continue to align with leaders who have consistently shown capacity, goodwill, and commitment to the progress of the Evo kingdom and broader Rivers interests.

The gathering also extended commendations to the Member representing Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Rep. Kingsley Ogundu Chinda (popularly known as O.K. Chinda), for his dedicated representation and unwavering support for his constituents.

In the same vein, the Assembly showered praise on the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Martin Chike Amaewhule, acknowledging his resolute leadership and dedication to safeguarding the welfare of the people amid ongoing political dynamics in the state.

Additionally, members lauded Engr. Morgan Amadi for his consistent support and contributions to the Assembly’s objectives. The meeting concluded with a unanimous resolution by participants to sustain their loyalty to the FCT Minister and his allied leaders. They described the session as a powerful reaffirmation of unity, loyalty, and a shared political vision for the future.

This show of solidarity from the influential Evo Assembly underscores the enduring political influence of Chief Wike in his home base, even as Rivers State navigates complex governance and party alignments ahead of future elections.

The Evo Assembly, representing communities in the historic Evo kingdom, has long been a key stakeholder in Rivers politics, often mobilising support for leaders it deems beneficial to grassroots development and stability.
