The Nkpolu Police Division ,Mile 3 Diobu, PortHarcourt attached to the Rivers State Police Command has commenced investigation into the alleged defilement of an eleven year old girl and ten year old boy by a man simply identified as Pasca, forty-five year old.

A source told our correspondent that the probe into the alleged defilement of the two children by the said Pasca a resident of pipeline axis in Egbelu,Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers followed a formal complaint to Nkpolu Police Division by Mrs Ada,mother of the ten year old boy and Mr Alex, father of the 11 year old girl who were allegedly defiled by the suspect.
A Human Rights Advocate,Mr Prince Wiro who is also National Coordinator of Centre for Basic Rights Protection and Accountability Campaign in an interview said the alleged defilement of the minors was reported to him by the parents of the children.

“According to the father of the girl child, the suspect who is his friend and former neighbour at Christ Apostolic Street,Mile 3 Diobu has being defiling the female child since she was ten year old.The father of the female child disclosed that unknown to him the suspect comes to his house when he has gone to work to defile the girl and also takes her to his(suspect ) house at Pipeline axis,Egbelu to defile her also.

“The mother of the boy child aged 10 who was a former neighbour to the suspect (Pasca) informed me that she became aware of the incident after his Son started complaining of pains in his anus and upon further question to her son,the son told her,how Pasca has been defiling him for the past six months.

” I took the children to make a formal complaint at the Nkpolu Police Division where a medical examination form has been issued to them and they have gone to the hospital.

“I commend DPO of the Nkpolu Police station on how meticulous he has gone about the matter.I demand a thorough investigation into the alleged incident.I also criticise some persons who say they are landlord Association in that Egbelu area who rather than hand the suspect over to the Police when they saw him, asked him to state his own side of the story and later fixed a meeting between the parents of the children and the suspect with a view to settling it,which the suspect already aware that he may be picked up by the Police in that meeting failed to show up and has not been seen after then” he explained.

The Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command,Chief Superintendent of Police,CSP Grace Iringe Koko when contacted by our reporter, said she will get back to us but was yet to revert as at time of filing this report.

Pasca the suspect in a telephone interview with Journalists said that he is already settling the matter with the father of the eleven year old child.

Meanwhile, the father of the girl child when contacted by Journalists, denied settling the case with Mr Pasca while demanding justice to prevail in the matter.
