SOBAN Declares Tinubu, Fubara’s Mandates Sacrosanct Ahead Of 2027

A business advisory network firm in Rivers State, SOBAN International Services Limited, has formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara for second-term in office come 2027, declaring their mandates sacrosanct, warning against political destabilization driven by vested interests.

Speaking with newsmen in Bonny Island, headquarters of Bonny Local Government Area of the state, the Managing Director of the firm, and public policy expert Warisenibo Ibifiniwari Frederick- Banigo, described the Tinubu and Fubara administrations as critical stabilizing forces at the federal and sub- national levels, insisting that continuity of leadership is essential for economic growth, policy stability, and democratic consolidation.

According to Warisenibo IbifFrederick- Banigo, President Tinubu’s ongoing economic reforms; though demanding, have begun laying the foundation for long-term fiscal sustainability, while Governor Fubara’s calm, people- oriented governance had restored confidence in Rivers State in face of political turbulence.

The SOBAN boss noted that the firm’s endorsement was not based on party loyalty, but on performance indicators, leadership temperament, and respect for democratic norms.

“A mandate freely given by the people is sacred and must not undermined by post- election conspiracies, godfather politics, or premature succession schemes”, Warisenibo Banigo stated.

He urged the both leaders to remain focused on governance delivery while calling on political actors ato place national and state interest above personal ambition as the 2027 election cycle approaches.

He maintained that the endorsement carried significant weight, particularly, in Rivers State, where Governor Fubara’s administration has maintained stability despite intense political pressure.

In a democracy struggling with elite interference, institutional sabotage, and power intoxication, SOBAN, through its Managing Director, declared that the mandates of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Siminalayi Fubara are sacrosanct not until 2031, deserved sober reflection, not cynical dismissal.

“Nigeria’s democratic failure has rarely stemmed from elections alone, it has flowed more from what happens after elections, as in the case of when mandates are questioned, governors are held hostage, and governance becomes collateral damage.

“Our position reframes leadership as stewardship, not spoils. President Bola Tinubu inherited an economy in deep distress and chose reform over populism. What citizens are burdened, the trajectory signals seriousness.

“In Rivers State, Governor Fubara has demonstrated that power can be exercised without noise, vengeance, or intimidation, an anomaly in Nigeria’s political culture.

“Calling our mandate sacrosanct does not cancel opposition or competition. Rather, we insists that democracy must breathe between elections and governance, and should not be paralyzed by constant political warfare.

“Nigeria must mature to the point where leaders are assessed on delivery, not destabilization. We, in SOBAN, had come to intervene which remains a reminder that continuity is not tyranny when it is earned”, Warisenibo Ibifiniwari Frederick Banigo submitted.
