Detty December In Port Harcourt

December 2025 has been one of the busiest festive seasons Port Harcourt has seen in years. From week to week, the city stayed alive with concerts, pop-up experiences, brand activations and nightlife events that kept residents outdoors well into the night.

The season kicked off with Amstel Malta’s Light Up Port Harcourt, which set the tone for the holidays. The event drew large crowds and marked the official start of Christmas festivities in the city, with music, lighting displays and celebrity appearances that attracted both young people and families at GRA junction.

Entertainment continued with Cool FM Port Harcourt’s End-of-Year Rooftop Party, which held last week and brought together media personalities, influencers and music lovers for a relaxed but vibrant celebration. The party quickly became one of the most talked-about social gatherings of the season.

Food and lifestyle events also took centre stage. Dodo’s Christmas Fiesta blended food, music and social hangouts, while Christmas in Lalaland offered a themed festive experience that drew creatives and lifestyle influencers. Parties like Day or Not Party, Day Vibes, and several pop-up events across the city ensured there was always somewhere to be.

Music concerts added even more energy. Life Beer Concert delivered a strong lineup. These different shows and events featured performances and appearances from top names such as Tacha, Cubana Chief Priest, GehGeh, Odumodublvck, Jeriq the Hussla, Duncan Mighty, and several local acts who kept the city buzzing.

What stood out this December was how consistent the energy remained. Unlike previous years where events slowed after Christmas, Port Harcourt stayed active right through the season, with packed venues and heavy social media buzz.

For many residents, this Detty December felt different. Louder. Busier. More confident. Port Harcourt didn’t just participate in the festive season this year, it owned it.

As December winds down, one thing is clear: Port Harcourt has firmly claimed its place as one of Nigeria’s major holiday and entertainment destinations.
