Ex-Youth Leader Commends Gov Fubara’s Passionate Commitment To Rivers People

An Ex- youth leader and former president of Marihu-Ndoki Community Youths’, Comrade Ogbonna Clement-Igonta, has attributed the achievements recorded by Governor Siminalayi Fubara, to what he described as a deep-rooted passion for the welfare and unity of Rivers people.

Speaking with newsmen recently in Marihu-Ndoki, Oyigbo LGA, on the people-centred infrastructural revolution of the Fubara’s administration in the state over the past two years in governance of the state, comrade Igonta, noted that the governor’s calm leadership style has ushered in administrative stability, reduced political tension, and restored confidence in governance across the state.

According to him, unlike previous administrations characterized by political turbulence, Governor Fubara’s government has prioritized workers’ welfare, youth inclusion, and institutional order.

“Civil servants report improved morale, while community leaders acknowledge a noticeable decline in political- induced unrest” he stated.

Comrade Igonta believed that the governor’s people- centric disposition has helped refocus attention on governance rather than politics, creating room for sustainable development.

“In a political environment often fueled by confrontation, Fubara’s restraint stands out. His administration’s appears guided by emotional intelligence, administrative discipline, and an aversion to unnecessary political drama.

“Passion in governance is not about rhetoric, but responsibility, such as, paying salaries regularly, stabilizing institutions, and protecting social harmony, and peaceful co-existence. However, passion alone is sufficient. Rivers people will ultimately judge this government by the strength of its reforms, job creation strategies, and economic resilience.

“The opportunity before the governor is to convert goodwill into a lasting governance legacy.

“While the prevailing political stability is commendable, leadership must now deliver measurable development outcomes. Passion must translate into policy clarity, infrastructure expansion, youth employment, and economic diversification”, Comrade Ogbonna Igonta declared.

He, however, urged the administration to institutionalize its people- first approach through transparent governance frameworks that will endure beyond political tenures, noting that stability is an asset; it must be effectively utilized.
