Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has boasted that mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 is already 70 percent complete in the state, leveraging his strong grassroots network in the newly joined All Progressives Congress.
The governor made the declaration on Thursday 18 December during the commissioning of the 9.29km Ogbakiri Road project in Emohua Local Government Area, a flagship infrastructure delivered by his administration.
Governor Fubara assured the national leadership of the APC that his solid structures and loyal supporters would deliver overwhelming support for President Tinubu. He said the enthusiastic reception during recent project commissions across the state had further strengthened his confidence.
“Now that we have political responsibilities following our recent engagements with the APC national leadership, I urge our people to rally behind Mr President,” Fubara said, emphasising alignment with the centre for accelerated development.
Describing the Ogbakiri Road as a landmark achievement, the governor revealed it was flagged off during one of the most turbulent periods of his administration, when a court order temporarily halted federal allocations to the state.

Despite the financial constraints, Fubara said the first tranche was paid and the project completed as promised, demonstrating his commitment to delivering dividends of democracy.
He pledged to evaluate the cost of extending internal roads in the community and constructing a bridge linking Ogbakiri to Degema for enhanced connectivity.
In recognition of his developmental strides, the traditional institution in Ogbakiri conferred on Governor Fubara the chieftaincy title of Eze Omenh’oma, translating to “Doer of Good.”
The event attracted traditional rulers, community leaders, and APC stalwarts, underscoring the governor’s growing influence ahead of the 2027 polls.
