Ned Nwoko, the senetor who serves the Delta North Senatorial District, has addressed recent statements made by his separated wife, prominent Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, concerning visitation rights to their two young sons, Munir and Khalifa.
Issuing a formal communiqué on Tuesday through his media representatives, headlined “Take the Window of Quietude for Therapy,” Nwoko refuted accusations that he is intentionally blocking Daniels from seeing the boys or leveraging them for social media attention.
The response characterized Daniels’ online declarations as distortive and at odds with established familial norms. The senator’s office asserted that posting moments featuring the children has historically been commonplace in the family dynamic, pointing out that Daniels had, in the past, freely disseminated imagery and footage not just of her own sons but also of children from Nwoko’s other marriages, without previously citing issues of privacy or misuse.

Concerning matters of parental access, the release contended that Daniels’ distance from the children’s daily lives has been a matter of her own choosing, suggesting she favored social commitments and evening entertainments over regular maternal presence. It emphasized that the boys are now in a secure setting dedicated to structure, attentive upbringing, and psychological health.
Nwoko also revealed that a judicial body in Abuja has mandated Regina Daniels to complete a program of drug rehabilitation and submit to an evaluation by the Abuja Social Welfare Department as prerequisites for reinstating her custodial privileges.
Proceedings for the substantive matter have been scheduled to resume on February 4, 2026.
