“Yes I want them to win the Nation’s Cup if they win the Nation’s Cup that is a big correction for everything.
The fans, supporters , and Nigerians will be happy they will say the boys have tried to make-up. But if they are not able to win, we will be disappointed in them that would be a very big one which we don’t want.
We have the likes of Samuel Chukwueze, Victor Osimhem, Ndidi, Bassey we have players that are good,” he stated.

A sports presenter with a popular media organisation in Port Harcourt, Elizabeth Lucky expected the team to right their wrong and put in their best in the AFCON to give their supporters a consolation trophy.

On his part, a sports analyst, Jah Rock stressed that he had no expectations from the Super Eagles based on their last match during the World Cup qualifiers and noted that the Nigeria Football Federation should utilize the AFCON to build a new and formidable team befitting that will qualify for the next mundial.

But unfortunately you and I have seen the 28 man list released.
Some of the new names on the list, have question marks hovering on them,” he concluded.
AFCON commences on 21st December in Morocco and the Super Eagles are playing Tanzania in their opening group match on 23rd December 2025.
