Rivers Angels Beats Pacesetters Queen

‎The 2025/26 Nigeria Women’s Football League matchday 3 produced another round of thrilling fixtures and prominent results on Wednesday, with Group B leaders Robo Queens maintaining their perfect start to the campaign, while Edo Queens and Rivers Angels also secured important victories.

‎At the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, Robo Queens extended their flawless run, securing a 2–0 victory against Delta Queens, making it a total of three wins from three and remaining one of only two clubs yet to concede this season.
‎Second-half strikes from Rodiat Yusuf (50′) and Tosin Rafiu (58′) ensured the Lagos side preserved both their perfect defensive and winning record.

‎At the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado-Ekiti, it was reported that Edo Queens claimed a narrow 1–0 victory over Ekiti Queens. Atume Doosuur (67′) delivered the match winner, her second consecutive goal for the Benin City side.

‎Away from home, Rivers Angels also secured a 2–1 win over Pacesetters Queens picking up maximum points at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan. Though the Rivers Angels reportedly struck first through Grace Saliu (2′), but Pacesetters levelled the score via Teslimot Balogun (28′). The Jewel of Rivers restored their lead before the break, with Ramotalahi Kareem (40′) sealing the victory.

‎A fixture in Abia State, Umuahia saw Ahudiyannem Queens lost to Nasarawa Amazons, and the Amazon pickup a 2–0 win, with Ohunene Sunday (47′) and Peaceful Ikediuba (74′) handing the visitors their second victory of the season.

‎Remo Stars Ladies on other other also continued their strong start with a 2–0 away win against Confluence Queens. Anifowoshe Khadijat (12′) opened the scoring, while Similoluwa Okesiji (90′) sealed the result, keeping Remo Stars Ladies level with Robo Queens as the league’s only sides yet to concede this term.

Abia Angels also gave the Fanbase an eye entertaining display as they overpower Osun Babes 2–0, courtesy of early goals from Winner David (16′) and Blessing Okon (28′).

‎And of course Adamawa Queens secured a tight 1–0 victory over Ibom Angels in Numa, Adamawa State, with Ifeoma Damian (16′) providing the decisive touch.
