Terem Moffi, a Super Eagles’ and OGC Nice striker is among a couple of players in French ligue 1 who have decided to take their own club’s supporters to court, after the fans hit him on his private part.
It is claimed that the Nigerian international, and his Nice teammate Jeremie Boga sued Nice’s fans, after they were both attacked for apparently making a mockery of their team’s loss against his former club, Lorient.
After the attacking incident on the pitch, both players had to be granted sick leave after the attack, which happened when their club’s bus returned to the team’s training ground on Sunday night, following a 3-1 defeat by Lorient.
The speculations surrounding the attack has it that over 300 angry clubs own fand were reportedly there waiting for the delegation and French newspaper, Truibuna added that Moffi and Boga were punched, kicked and spat on.
That notwithstanding, it is claimed that some of the blows thrown towards the victims reportedly landed on their genitals and they also had racist slurs spoken against them, as the supporters derided Moffi, who played 90 minutes of the game, while Boga got off the bench.

Unfortunately for the Nigerian international striker, Terem Moffi he will be out of action until next Sunday, as he was said to have needed help from his team’s goalkeeper, Yehvann Diouf to get into the training ground.
The 26-year old Nigerian was allegedly seen laughing with former Lorient present Loic Remy after the defeat on Sunday, while Boga was attacked because he invited Olympique Marseille’s abusive fans to the stadium earlier in November.
Jeremie Boga released a statement following the Sunday’s incident pleaded, “At no time, believe me, was it my intention to show disrespect toward Nice supporters.
However, the 28-year old French international striker understand the disappointment this may have caused. To all those he may have hurt, he offered his apologies.
