Celebrities Storm Port Harcourt

Port Harcourt was transformed into a spectrum of Nigerian glamour and cultural celebration this past Saturday, 29th of November as an array of the country’s biggest stars descended upon the city for the exclusive, invite-only screening of the highly anticipated film, “Amayanabo: The Eagle King.” The event, held at the prestigious Port Harcourt Polo Club, was more than a mere movie premiere, it was a significant moment for the Nigerian creative industry, underscoring a powerful push towards authentic, indigenous storytelling.

The venue was filled with excitement as reality TV star Tacha, actors like Stan Nze and Monalisa Chinda, and the film’s visionary producer-writer-director, Ibinabo Fiberesima, mingled with other key figures from the entertainment and social scenes. The air was thick with anticipation, setting the stage for a film that promises to be a landmark in Nollywood.

Echoing this enthusiasm, actor Stan Nze commended the entire cast and crew for their powerful and seamless delivery. The President of the Port Harcourt Polo Club, Prince Henry Agbodjan, took a moment to honor the driving force behind the film, Ibinabo Fiberesima. He praised her unwavering dedication and passion for bringing a uniquely Niger Delta narrative to the forefront of national cinema. By championing this “culturally significant project,” Fiberesima has been credited with not just making a movie, but with bringing a vital piece of local heritage to life, ensuring the stories of the region are told with the authenticity and respect they deserve.
