We Will Beat RS Berkane- Finidi

‎The head coach of Rivers United, Finidi George is hundred percent sure his men will secure the maximum points against Moroccan side RS Berkane in their group stage match.

‎The CAF Champions League matchday two will have the Pride of Rivers State host Moïn Chaâbani’s side in what might be a ‘mouth-watery’ encounter at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Friday.

‎The Port Harcourt outlet will be desperate to record their first win in the group stage after losing 3-0 to holders Pyramids FC of Egypt on matchday one.

‎Finidi in preparation of the game said it is important for his team to give their fans something to celebrate after the defeat to Pyramids FC.

‎“We owe it to our fans to rise up to the occasion and get a result against RS Berkane. We did well for 50 minutes against the Pyramids and then lost concentration. We cannot afford to do that tomorrow,” Finidi told CAFonline.

‎“We paid for the few mistakes we made in Cairo. I don’t think that will happen against RS Berkane. At the moment, we have all the support, and we are putting in the intensity to make sure we have all three points. In other words, the game we had in Cairo has taught us a lot, and we do not want to make that mistake again,” Finidi said during his pre-match presser.

‎The head coach further said he has the players to get the job done.

‎“As for goal scoring, Rivers United have the players that can get the job done and I believe they will step up. The Tournament is a big stage for any player and I believe they all realize and appreciate that.”
