MTN Launches Y’ellotide Weddings Initiative

MTN Nigeria has launched its new Y’ellotide Weddings initiative, a festive-season surprise designed to support couples preparing to tie the knot.

The initiative is part of MTN’s larger Y’ellotide Season of Surprises, which earlier featured the Y’ello Santa tour across six cities. Chief Marketing Officer Onyinye Ikenna-Emeka said the weddings project reflects MTN’s commitment to strengthening human connection and creating memorable community impact.

She explained that the broader Y’ellotide campaign aims to bring joy and meaningful opportunities to Nigerians. “The Y’ello Santa set the tone, and now Y’ellotide Weddings will create a transformative experience for couples starting their families,” she said.

MTN clarified that the initiative is not a conventional sponsorship but a surprise intervention intended to make selected ceremonies unforgettable.

Couples living in Nigeria with weddings scheduled between November 29 and December 31, 2025, are eligible. Interested couples or their friends can apply via yellotide.mtn.ng/wedding or through MTN Nigeria’s social media platforms.

The company added that the programme demonstrates MTN’s commitment beyond telecommunications, positioning the brand as one that celebrates with Nigerians and supports their major life milestones.
