NOA Bags Award at 2025 Consumer Value Awards

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has won the Most Outstanding Federal Government Agency in Consumer Engagement at the Fourth Edition of the Consumer Value Awards Night 2025.

The ceremony, themed “Beyond Price: Consumer Trust, Digital Experience, and Brand Accountability,” which was held in Lagos, brought together leading voices across Nigeria’s regulatory, corporate, and consumer advocacy sectors.

NOA’s recognition came after the Agency achieved an impressive 96% positive rating in consumer feedback metrics featured in the event’s assessment slide— an indication of the Agency’s deepening trust and improved responsiveness in its engagement with Nigerians.

In his welcome address, the Convener of the Consumer Value Awards, Mr. Akonte Ekine, emphasized that the Awards celebrate brands that distinguish themselves through integrity, accountability, authenticity, and strong digital and physical consumer experiences. He described consumer trust as the defining measure of true brand value.

Delivering a goodwill message, the Director-General of NOA, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, represented by the Lagos State Director, Dr. Mustafa Adedeji Tukur. commended the organizers for spotlighting organizations that place genuine value at the center of their services. He highlighted the Agency’s satisfaction with its 96% rating, describing it as a motivation for even greater commitment to citizen-focused communication.

Dr. Tukur further reiterated the Agency’s core mandate of bridging the information gap between government and citizens, promoting national values, and ensuring that Nigerians have unhindered access to accurate and credible information about government policies and programmes.

A key highlight of his message was the emphasis on “Duty of Care.” He stressed that beyond recognizing Nigerian brands, “it is essential that we equally showcase individuals and institutions that have positively impacted society.” He underscored that celebrating value-driven contributions reinforces national values and strengthens public trust.

Dr. Tukur received the award on behalf of the Agency, marking a proud moment for NOA’s expanding digital presence, grassroots mobilization efforts, and strengthened value reorientation initiatives.

The ceremony was attended by key industry leaders and representatives, including Mrs. Bennett Welder Bronze, Director of Compliance, NCC; Dr. Susan Agor, Representative of ARCON ; Mr. Afolabi Solebo, General Manager, Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA); and Mrs. Sola Salako Ajulo, Broadcast Journalist, Consumer Rights Advocate, and Member of the Consumer Protection Tribunal

The event which also showcased other awardees, climaxed as a celebration of brands and institutions that prioritize consumer trust, ethical conduct, and digital excellence, which are the values the National Orientation Agency continues to champion as it deepens citizen engagement across Nigeria.
