LawPavilion Launches New AI Tool For Nigerian Judges

LawPavilion, one of Nigeria’s leading legal-tech firms, has introduced a new artificial intelligence tool designed to help judges manage rising court workloads. The solution, unveiled at the All Nigeria Judges Conference in Abuja, aims to speed up judicial processes and reduce case backlogs.

Presenting the tool, LawPavilion’s Managing Director, Mr. Ope Olugasa, said the platform LawPavilion AI (Judges’ Corner) will ease judges’ workload and improve the delivery of justice. “Behind each case number is a human story,” he said. “AI is not the future of judicial practice; it is the present.”

Olugasa explained that the system avoids the common problem of AI hallucination because it is trained strictly on decisions of the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, statutes and procedural rules. He assured users that all outputs can be verified in real time, and documents uploaded are anonymized and protected under strong encryption in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act.

A standout feature of the platform is its “Draft Judgment” tool, which analyses pleadings, witness statements, exhibits and other documents to produce structured summaries and legally guided suggestions. The company emphasized that the tool supports judges rather than replaces human reasoning.

LawPavilion, known for digital research and court management technologies, says this new AI platform marks its most ambitious effort yet to modernize Nigeria’s justice system.
