Bayelsa Gov’s Political Adviser Hosts IPAC to Enhance Stability Across Parties

In a renewed effort to deepen political stability and enhance cooperation among political parties across Bayelsa State, the Special Adviser to the governor on Political Matters, High Chief Collins Cocodia, held a strategic meeting with the leadership of the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) at his office in Yenagoa.

The engagement which was held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, brought together key political stakeholders.

It was convened to discuss measures aimed at sustaining a safer, more harmonious, and issue-driven political environment.

Cocodia emphasized the importance of dialogue, mutual respect, and collaborative problem-solving, noting that effective inter-party engagement remained crucial for the growth and consolidation of democratic governance in the State.

During the meeting, participants examined a range of pressing concerns affecting various political parties, including internal disputes, inter-party relations, and mechanisms for conflict prevention ahead of future electoral activities.

Cocodia reaffirmed the commitment of the Prosperity Administration to promoting inclusive politics where all parties operate freely, peacefully, and within the bounds of the law.

He was accompanied by top political aides who reinforced the administration’s stance on peaceful coexistence.

In attendance at the meeting were the Political Adviser representing Bayelsa West, Dr. Stanley Braboke; the Political Adviser representing Bayelsa East, Hon. Iti Orugbani, and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Inter-Party Relations, Hon. Jackson Ebi Suokiri.

Collectively, they reassured IPAC of the government’s willingness to continuously engage stakeholders and support structures that foster political stability.

The meeting concluded with a shared understanding of strengthening communication channels and working collaboratively to address party-related tensions, ensuring that Bayelsa’s political climate remained peaceful, progressive, and inclusive.
