The newly elected leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Kabiru Tanimu Turaki (SAN) has
held his inaugural meeting with the party’s executives which signals a significant step forward for the party.
The gathering held on Tuesday 18th November 2025 however, was faced with an attempted disruption by supporters of former Rivers State Governor and current FCT Minister, Barr Nyesom Wike.
Despite the provocation, the PDP executives demonstrated remarkable restraint and composure, embodying the party’s commitment to peace and unity.
Alhaji Tanimu emphasized the importance of maintaining a peaceful environment as the party prepares for the upcoming electoral challenges in 2027.
The meeting was attended by notable figures including the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, and his Bauchi State counterpart, Governor Bala Mohammed, focused on strategic planning and fostering collaboration among party members to ensure a strong and united front.
Their presence underscored the collective commitment of the party’s leadership to work together towards common goals.
