As the chamber’s first female president since its founding in 1957, and holding roles as Deputy President Ex-Officio, and National Deputy Coordinator of the Women wing of Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Dr. Nwoga reaffirmed her dedication to fostering private sector growth and sustainability.

Leading the delegation, Mr. Walter Aberepikima outlined the club’s objectives, which includes, forging a partnership with PHCCIMA to elevate tourism as a driver of state progress. He also shared an exciting lineup of seasonal events designed to showcase Rivers State’s untapped attractions, particularly on Bonny Island, a hub of oil and gas wealth now more accessible via a new road link.

She used the opportunity to urge government action to bolster the tourism sector through essential infrastructure investments, ideally via Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models. “Tourism’s impact on state development cannot be overstated —it’s a vital engine for jobs, revenue, and cultural pride.”
