‘They Put Their Lives On The Line,’ Tinubu Hails Nigerian Military

In a stirring address, President Bola Tinubu emphatically stated that the courageous men and women of the military, who have selflessly put their lives on the line to safeguard the nation’s sovereignty and protect its citizens, unequivocally deserve the unwavering support, profound appreciation, and unrelenting encouragement of all Nigerians, in recognition of their gallant sacrifices and tireless efforts to defend the country and uphold its democratic values.

The President emphasized this point while addressing delegates at the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) conference, held in Abuja, on Wednesday, the 12th of November, 2025, highlighting keynotes that would shape the nation’s future media landscape and governance.

President Tinubu raised relevant questions about the important role they play hence the need to accord to them maximum support and encouragement.

“Yes, we are challenged by terrorism, banditry, and others. We recognise that.

“Are we doing something about it? Are we inspiring the armed forces? Are we encouraging them to fight?

“They put their lives on the line to defend the sovereignty of this country. It is our responsibility,” he said.
