Trump’s Invasion Threat: A Threat to Nigeria’s Sovereignty

Which country in the world have you ever seen America invade that turns out well? Is it Libya? Or Afghanistan? Or Somalia? Or Iraq?? What makes anyone think that Trump’s America ‘s invasion into Nigeria will turn out good for anyone?!!

History has proven that America’s invasion only sort to destroy and not to help anyone. Which is the reason why alot of us resonated with the “America Mind Your Business” “America First” Slogan that Donald J. Trump came with during his campaign.

I like the fact that HQ Nigerian Army , Nigerian Air Force HQ , Nigeria Police Force and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu are been called out this way to awaken them, but threatening to invade with your military, instead of finding out how to help through partnership with them as equal sovereign entity, is nauseating to me.

Yes!! Our leaders have messed things up, yes, our military has failed us, but fact remains that Americans invasion doesn’t solve any problem, instead it amplifies it. All of you now supporting Trump and his threats will definitely regret it when the time comes, if he eventually follows through his threats. Just as you are now regretting ever supporting the noise Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB Group were making with ESN in the East.

Just recently, I read a news about the Central Bank of Nigeria, planning to join China and Russia is stocking up Gold in its reserve, and boom 2 days after, Trump started tweeting. We Nigerians must learn to identify these threats from external forces, and learn to manage situations like this with intelligence.

There are many layers to declaration like this, one is a strategy geared to hold a Government under its grip and control. Nigeria is one of the worlds most populous Nation, currently seriously resetting its economic system which has been stagnated with policies that doesn’t encourage growth and development. Insecurity has been a major problem that I find very hard to understand why it still persists, but Nigeria is moving forward based on one or two indices, not perfect, but is moving.

These little wins seems like a threat to America in its quest to retain global dominance. The gradual shift from dollar dependence championed by the BRICS Nation, has been a major threat in the interest of America. China, Russia, India, South Africa etc has been shifting towards global de-dollarization by heavy investment in Gold as a reserve choice over dollar. Since USA can’t do much about the situation, they think threatening countries to fall into their agenda is the best.

The last time it was South Africa, DT woke up one morning accusing the SA government of genocide against the white people in SA. Then the next is India, he woke up one morning, accusing India of buying Russia oil and threatening with 200% tariff, today it’s Nigeria’s turn, a strategy to force Nigeria to fall inline with western control.

However, this doesn’t mean we should keep quiet to the Jihad in Nigeria and West Africa at large. Islamic Terrorists, masquerading as Fulani herdsmen, Bandits, Miyetti Allah, Bokoharam, ISWAP etc has been killing and displacing Nigerians, in the North, both Christians and moderate Muslims and our Government must wake up to these reality.

Every step must be taken to stop the killing in the North. The invasion of communities and killing of Armless Civilians must stop. The killing of protesters must stop. United Nations , African Union , Ecowas – Cedeao etc must wake up to their responsibilities and stop being OBSOLETE. Your activities must reflect in the lives of the constituencies you govern which includes securing the lives of Citizens of the World. No president should be allowed to over step their boundaries. And no Nation must be allowed to dictate the affairs of another nation just as USA is doing right now.
