In a groundbreaking decision that highlights Africa’s growing impact on global maritime security, Tantita Security Services Limited (TSSL) has been granted formal permission to present a technical lecture at the 2026 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), an esteemed event that showcases energy and technology innovators from around the world.

The talk, set for next year’s gathering in Houston, will feature Tantita’s advanced drone surveillance technology aimed at safeguarding offshore oil installations and securing Nigeria’s vast maritime territory. This represents a notable advancement not just for Nigeria but also for developing countries aspiring to establish their presence in sophisticated security technologies.

Tantita’s presentation will focus on the use of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for contemporary monitoring, threat identification, and cooperative security strategies. These advancements are specifically designed to confront the intricate issues surrounding the protection of offshore assets, particularly in areas susceptible to piracy, illegal oil siphoning, and environmental hazards.

Captain (Dr) Warredi Enisuoh, Executive Director of Technical and Operations at TSSL, confirmed this news, stating that the approval signifies the increasing global acknowledgment of Tantita’s operational achievements and technological innovation.

OTC 2026 is anticipated to attract thousands of participants — including engineers, policymakers, investors, and academics — creating a rich environment for forming strategic alliances, sharing knowledge, and achieving collaborative advancements.

Tantita’s involvement signifies more than a corporate achievement; it represents a pivotal moment for Africa in influencing the future of offshore energy security. As the continent faces challenges related to resource safeguarding and environmental stewardship, homegrown technological solutions like Tantita’s drone system present scalable, intelligent, and self-reliant options for advancement.
