Ryan Taylor Opens Up About Failed Engagement with DJ Cuppy

British YouTuber and BMX rider, Ryan Taylor, has broken his silence on his short-lived engagement to Nigerian disc jockey and billionaire heiress, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy.

In a recent appearance on the Ladders Podcast, the 32-year-old influencer opened up about the highs and lows of their brief relationship, sharing insights into what led to their separation.

Taylor, who famously proposed to DJ Cuppy in December 2022 after less than a month of dating, disclosed that certain personal and professional differences gradually created distance between them.

He revealed that one of the major challenges was Cuppy’s attitude toward working with Nigerians in professional spaces.

“Is it weird that I told you she didn’t like Nigerians? She came into my business and didn’t even want Nigerian staff,” Taylor stated during the interview.

The YouTuber emphasised that their relationship was built on mutual understanding rather than legal or formal agreements, adding that they left the relationship with nothing but valuable lessons.

“To be honest, what I got from that was lessons. Everything that happens, happens for a reason. But do I regret it? No. Lesson learned. Next!” he said.

Reflecting on his experience, Taylor added that the entire episode reshaped his views about wealth and relationships.

“I learned that money is not everything, but not having it is,” he concluded.

DJ Cuppy is yet to respond to the claims of her ex-fiancé, while Nigerians stand to question her point of view on Nigerians, on her most recent post.
