NIPOST Seeks Stronger Collaboration with Police Zone 16

The Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 16 Headquarters, AIG Johnson Oluwole Adenola, on Thursday, October 16, 2025, played host to the Bayelsa State Postal Manager of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST), Mrs Nosegbe Tola, during a courtesy visit to his office in Yenagoa.

Tola explained that the primary purpose of the visit was to strengthen collaboration between NIPOST and the Zone 16 Police Command.

She emphasised the importance of building strategic relationships with key stakeholders like the police in order to effectively carry out NIPOST’s mandate.

According to her, cooperation with law enforcement is crucial to the successful delivery of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) obligations, which include efficient, safe, and affordable mail delivery across the country.

In his response, Adenola commended the initiative, describing the visit as timely and mutually beneficial. He assured the NIPOST delegation of the command’s readiness to support the agency, especially in safeguarding federal infrastructure and ensuring the smooth delivery of postal services across Bayelsa and beyond.
