Rivers Utd Off to Maputo for CAF CL Clash With Black Bulls

Rivers United is set to depart for Mozambique on Wednesday to participate in the first leg of their CAF Champions League second round match against Black Bulls.

‎The Rivers United team, comprising the players and officials, will travel to Maputo through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.

‎The group arrived in Lagos on Tuesday from Port Harcourt to catch a flight to their destination.

‎The return match is scheduled to take place at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo one week later. The victor of this matchup will advance to the final group stage of the tournament.

‎It is also important to note that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has designated Namibian referee Mr. Negongo Mweshitsama Naftal to officiate the CAF Champions League second round first leg match between Black Bulls and Rivers United.

‎Mr. Naftal will be supported by fellow countrymen Alex Muzibwene Lumponjani (Assistant Referee 1) and Hangula Velinoma Angula (Assistant Referee 2).

‎Fillipus Hanyemunange Nghilinganye will act as the fourth official.

‎Suleiman Othman from Zanzibar will serve as the match commissioner.

‎The match is scheduled to occur at the Campo da ABB Stadium in Maputo on Saturday, 18 Octob
