Nollywood Star Adesua Etomi Shares Near Death Experience

Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington has publicly disclosed a severe medical emergency she endured this past June. The incident occurred while she was abroad in the United Kingdom with her husband, Banky W, and their two young children.

Taking to Instagram with a deeply personal post, the actress recounted undergoing a sudden and critical surgical procedure, framing the event as a terrifying yet profoundly life-altering ordeal.

“I could have lost my life in June. What I went through was horrific and ended with an unplanned surgery, and strangely, the surgery itself was the least dramatic part of it all,” she wrote.

Etomi-Wellington clarified that the health crisis unfolded during a trip for two speaking engagements. She expressed a firm belief that her survival was due to divine intervention, emphasising that a precise sequence of events that day was instrumental in saving her.

“If even one single detail had been different, I wouldn’t be here today. When I think about it, I shudder,” she stated.

The star of “The Wedding Party” shared that the traumatic experience has significantly strengthened her spiritual beliefs and renewed her sense of thankfulness for being alive. “There’s nothing anyone can tell me, God is real,” she declared.

Concluding her message, Etomi-Wellington encouraged her followers to embrace each day and consciously practice empathy and kindness in their lives.

“Let’s choose to be softer, kinder, gentler, forgiving, patient, loving, and peaceful. I’ll never take another day for granted, neither should you,” she added.
