Moses Bliss Faces Visa Issues

Nigerian gospel singer Moses Bliss missed a highly anticipated concert in Tanzania due to visa complications, disappointing fans and sparking widespread discussions.

The event, part of his international tour, was set for early October 2025 in Dar es Salaam, with thousands eager to hear hits like “Too Faithful” and “E Dey Flow.” Bliss, known for dynamic performances blending contemporary gospel with African rhythms, apologized publicly via official channels, expressing regret and promising alternative arrangements.

The incident highlights logistical hurdles for African artists expanding globally, particularly in East Africa.

Moses Bliss, born Moses Uyoh Enang in 1995, has become a leading figure in Nigeria’s gospel scene since his 2017 debut single “E No Dey Fall My Hand.” Founding Spotlite Nation, he has collaborated with artists like Sunmisola Agbebi and amassed millions of streams.

His “Bliss Experience” concerts draw devoted fans across Africa and beyond. Recently married to Marie Wiseborn in a lavish 2024 ceremony across Nigeria and Ghana, Bliss’s career blends spiritual ministry with commercial success, with music centered on faith and resilience, ironic given the visa setback.

The visa issues arose from glitches in Tanzania’s e-visa system, a frequent frustration for travelers due to backlogs and form discrepancies. Despite applying early, Bliss’s approval was delayed, preventing his entry.

Organizers attempted to salvage the event with local acts and a virtual appearance by Bliss, but his absence led to partial refunds and backlash from ticket holders, some of whom traveled from neighboring countries. Social media buzzed with hashtags like #MosesBlissTanzania and #VisaWoes, amplifying calls for streamlined East African visa policies.

This episode underscores barriers for African creatives navigating regional travel, echoing similar disruptions for other artists. Bliss’s team has secured a rescheduled Tanzania show for November 2025, with enhanced visa contingency plans.

Fans rallied with support, turning the mishap into a testament to communal faith. The incident highlights the need for diplomatic advocacy to ease cross-border performances, potentially influencing policy dialogues.

As Bliss rebounds, his story reinforces the enduring appeal of his music, proving earthly obstacles cannot dim spiritual momentum.
