Dangote Refinery Resumes Sale of Fuel in Naira

Fuel sales in naira have resumed, according to the Dangote refinery. The refinery said in a notice to marketers on Saturday that the naira-for-crude technical committee’s efforts led to this decision.

“Following the intervention of the Chairman of the Naira for Crude Technical Committee, we are pleased to inform you that PMS sales in naira will commence immediately.”

” You are encouraged to place your orders in naira for both self-pickup and complimentary delivery of PMS to the locations previously communicated nationwide. We appreciate your ongoing support,” the notice stated.

Citing the depletion of its crude-for-naira allocation, the refinery had earlier on Friday announced that gasoline sales in naira would be suspended, with effect from Sunday, September 28, 2025.

“We wish to inform you that Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals has been providing petroleum products beyond our naira-crude allocations, and because of this, we cannot continue PMS sales in naira for the moment.

“We would like to notify you that the halt of naira sales for PMS will take effect from Sunday, September 28, 2025. We will share more updates regarding the resumption of supply once the matter is resolved.“Customers with PMS transactions in Naira who wish to obtain a refund for their current payments should submit a formal request for processing,” the refinery mentioned.
