Rivers NYSC Engages Stakeholders As Coordinator Inaugurates Camp Directors

The Rivers State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps NYSC, Mr. Moses Oleghe, has intensified his engagement with key grassroots stakeholders to deepen the impact and reach of the Scheme at the local government level.

As part of this initiative, Oleghe held strategic meetings with the Mayor of Port Harcourt City, Hon. AllWell Ihunda, and the Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Hon. Chidi Lloyd, on Saturday, September 27.

During these discussions, he sought their committed and purposeful support for the NYSC Scheme to ensure it fulfills its mandate of promoting growth and development through the selfless service of corps members.

In their separate remarks, the Mayor and Lloyd commended the state coordinator for his proactive outreach and pledged their administrations’ readiness to enhance the welfare and security of corps members within their jurisdictions.

Meanwhile, the Rivers State NYSC camp for the 2025 Batch B Stream II officially commenced its lecture series, a vital component of the orientation course designed to broaden the intellectual and practical understanding of Corps Members.

The program was inaugurated by the coordinator. In his address, he encouraged corps members to fully engage with the transformative lectures aimed at equipping them with valuable insights into real-life challenges and opportunities.

The state coordinator also inaugurated the corps camp directors for the orientation exercise, emphasizing their important role in camp administration and urging corps members to show them respect.

The appointed camp directors are: Ezeokoki Franklin (RV/25A/2789) – Week 2, Didia Shulamite Olachi (RV/25B/2630) – Week 2 and Johnson John Izibenoah (RV/25B/3487) – Week 3
