NPFL Approves ‘The Fanfest’ Matchday Fan Zone

The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), which regulates the country’s premier local football league, has officially recognized “The Fanfest” as the designated fan zone platform for the 2025–2026 season. This decision follows a successful year where the platform facilitated interactions, connections, and measurable consumer feedback between numerous football fans and brands in Nigeria.

‎The Fanfest, owned and operated by Oracle Experience Limited, made its debut in 2024, serving as a lively gathering spot for thousands of football fans during NPFL matchdays. It quickly became the go-to venue for supporters to experience the thrill of Nigerian football outside the stadium, combining live match broadcasts with music, entertainment, culture, and a sense of community.

‎With this endorsement, The Fanfest has obtained the rights from the NPFL to organize official fan zones in selected cities, covering 20 match days in the forthcoming season. This collaboration underscores the league’s commitment to enriching the football experience for its fans while expanding the matchday atmosphere beyond the stadium’s confines.

‎In a statement regarding this development, Dr. Felix King Eiremiokhae, CEO of Oracle Experience, emphasized that the approval bolsters the company’s goal of enhancing fan engagement through exceptional experiences.

‎He remarked, “By merging Naija Football, Naija Beats, and Naija Lifestyle, The Fanfest offers a genuine, all-encompassing celebration of the game and its culture, turning every match day into a festival of sport, music, and community.”

‎During the recent NPFL Annual General Meeting, Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye, Chairman of the NPFL, spoke about the significant partnership with Oracle Experience, Nigeria’s foremost experiential marketing firm and promoters of The Fanfest:

‎“Indeed, the collaboration with Oracle in matchday fan zone activations across major cities hosting NPFL clubs and fixtures aligns with our framework of innovation and growth through partnerships with the private sector.

‎Dr. Eiremiokhae stated, “The Fanfest will offer brands exceptional opportunities to engage with thousands of fans in each fan zone. Additionally, it will facilitate avenues for quantifiable consumer feedback and relevant outcomes, guaranteeing that activations lead to significant engagement.”

‎He further noted that the Fanfest will enrich and invigorate the matchday experience for fans at chosen fixtures, celebrate and promote NPFL clubs and brands within Nigeria’s dynamic, youthful demographic, and effectively link brands with football communities through genuine, culture-oriented experiences.
