Mayor of Pitakwa Goes Off Social Media Amid Emotional Post

Port Harcourt-based comedian and speaker, KO Baba Jornsen, popularly known as the Mayor of Pitakwa, has gone off social media after a series of emotional posts left fans worried.

The entertainer, who is well celebrated for his major comedy shows and talent platforms in Rivers State, announced his decision to step back from online activity with a message that read: “Crying is not weakness.” His profile picture was also changed to a lit candle — a universal symbol of loss and remembrance — followed by another post that stated: “I will be inactive on social media until further notice. See you soon.”

While KO Baba did not disclose the specific reason behind this break, fans and followers quickly filled his comment section with prayers, words of encouragement, and condolence messages, suggesting the comedian may once again be going through a difficult personal moment.

This isn’t the first time the Mayor of Pitakwa has faced tragedy. In 2022, KO Baba revealed he lost a set of twins, an experience that nearly plunged him into depression and trauma. However, he later shared that with prayers, family support, and guidance from pastors and close friends, he was able to find strength and bounce back to his craft.

Known not just for his rib-cracking stand-up performances but also for uplifting young talents through his comedy and talent shows, KO Baba has built a strong legacy in Port Harcourt’s entertainment scene. His annual comedy concert, alongside mentorship programs, has earned him recognition as one of the city’s finest entertainers and a respected voice in the creative industry.

As the reason for his current silence remains uncertain, fans continue to rally around him with love and prayers. Many are hopeful the comedian will return stronger, just as he has done in the past.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the Jornsen family.
