The Chairman of Opobo/ Nkoro Local Government Area , Barr. James A. James has reiterated that he believes in talking less, but doing more, saying that the projects that his government will embark upon will speak for the administration.
Barr. James, who made the remarks in Nkoro Town, while flagging off the construction of 7.5. Km Nkoro – Kirika internal road on Tuesday, 9th September 2025, emphasised that he and his team came to serve and that service begins with impactful projects.
The Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Council boss explained that the new road, which is to commence immediately, would ease movement, enhance economic activities across the communities of Nkoro , and that it is a new era in infrastructural renewal, and a testimonial of his visionary leadership, advising the contractor to adhere to strict specifications and standards.

Addressing the people of Nkoro, in the presence of Council officials, councillors, and party leaders during the groundbreaking ceremony, Barr. James emphasised that his administration is committed to providing practical, people oriented projects anchored on visible development.
The council chairman, however, warned against anyone trying to disturb the flow of work under any guise, even as he asked the contractor to carry the locals along in the execution of the project.
On his part, the managing director of the contracting firm, Raymitek Construction Company, Engr. Honourable Genesis assured that his firm would deliver the road within schedule and that the quality of work is going to be in line with global best practices.
Engr. Genesis also said that with the machinery, manpower, and expertise at the disposal of the company, the internal road will stand the test of time.
