Tinubu Commends Shettima, Others on Economic Society Fellowship

President Bola Tinubu has extended his congratulations to Vice President Kashim Shettima and several other prominent Nigerians on their conferment as Fellows of the Nigerian Economic Society (NES).

The President praised the recipients for their significant contributions to Nigeria’s economic development, policy, and research.

In a statement released on Sunday, Tinubu noted that the fellowship, which will be formally conferred on Monday, September 8, serves as a recognition of their exceptional service, intellectual rigour, and dedication to the nation’s socio-economic progress.

The President specifically commended Shettima for his leadership and commitment to the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, highlighting his efforts in promoting inclusive growth, creating jobs, and ensuring sustainable development.

The President also applauded Dr Iyabo Masha, a distinguished economist and Director of the Intergovernmental Group of Twenty-Four on International Monetary Affairs and Development (G-24), for the honour.
