NFF Appoints ‎Dorcas As Media Officer‎ For Nigeria’s U17 Team

‎On September 5th, the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) appointed Erenayo Dorcas Koki, a journalist and football commentator from Nigeria Info FM, as the new Media Officer for the U17 women’s national team, the Flamingos.

‎Koki brings years of experience in covering both local and international sporting events and programs, earning a reputation for her bold storytelling, engaging analysis, and strong advocacy for women’s sports, particularly women’s football.

‎Based in Port Harcourt, Koki takes over from the vibrant, energetic, and insightful Monsurah Olatunji, who served as the team’s Media Officer during last year’s FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup finals in the Dominican Republic, and who succeeded the amiable Faith Meremegbunam.

‎Koki is committed to bringing the Flamingos, the bronze medallists of the 2022 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup, closer to Nigerians and the global audience by utilizing her skills to enhance the team’s visibility.

‎“I will collaborate with the NFF Communication department to amplify the voices of the players and coaches, ensuring that the team’s journey is shared with all stakeholders both nationally and internationally. My goal is to make the Flamingos a household name, not just during tournaments but throughout the entire year.

‎We will narrate their stories in ways that inspire pride, foster fan connections, and position the team as the future of Nigerian football, by integrating fresh digital content, enhancing media engagement, and authentic storytelling.”

‎The Flamingos will begin their training camp on Sunday as they prepare for this year’s FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup finals, scheduled to take place in Morocco from October 17th to November 8th.
