Iyabo Ojo Celebrates Grandson’s Birth With ₦3m Giveaway for New Mothers

Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo has marked the arrival of her grandson, Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala, with a touching gesture aimed at supporting new and expectant mothers.

‎The actress, who became a grandmother following the birth of Rakeem to her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, and Tanzanian singer, Juma Jux, announced that she will be distributing ₦50,000 each to 60 women whose babies are born in 2025. The initiative, worth a total of ₦3 million, is her way of sharing the family’s joy while encouraging mothers navigating the journey of childbirth and childcare.

‎Sharing the news on Instagram, Ojo posted an adorable message written in her grandson’s “voice,” playfully referring to herself as “Glamma” and “Queen Mother.” The statement read in part:

‎“In the mood of celebration, I, Prince Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala, am pleased to announce a special gift from my Glamma and myself—the cutest baby on the block! We’ll be giving out ₦50,000 each to 60 lucky expectant mothers and mothers with babies born in 2025.”

‎The actress also cautioned applicants to beware of impostor accounts, stressing that only genuine participants will be selected.

‎By extending this gesture, Ojo expressed her appreciation for the strength and resilience of mothers, describing the giveaway as a token of love for women embracing both the joys and challenges of motherhood.

‎Fans and colleagues have since flooded her comment section with congratulatory messages, hailing her generosity and celebrating the newest addition to the Ojo family.
