Finidi George has asserted that Rivers United is not intimidated by any team in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.
Finidi conveyed his confidence on Thursday, August 28, that his team would have a better performance this season, having secured second place last year.
Rivers United played to a 1-1 draw against Remo Stars in the opening match of the new season in Abeokuta last weekend.
The team is set to compete against Kwara United in their matchday two fixture in Port Harcourt this weekend.
“It’s beneficial that the fixture includes strong teams because if there are any errors, we will know how to rectify them,” Finidi stated to Rivers United’s media.
“We are not afraid of any team this season. We will showcase our best football this season, and hopefully, we will achieve the results we deserve.”
