Ebuka Songs Issues Public Apology Over Livestream Controversy

Ebuka Songs

Popular gospel singer Ebuka Hillary Emmanuel, widely known as Ebuka Songs, has issued a formal apology following intense backlash over his controversial livestream with TikTok personality Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller.

The apology comes after a video surfaced showing Peller visiting Ebuka’s residence, where he was seen speaking in tongues and prophesying, a display that many in the Christian community found inappropriate. Among the critics was Pastor Kesiena Esiri, founder of the Remnant Christian Network, who publicly condemned the session and questioned its spiritual integrity.

The situation escalated when Ebuka Songs responded to Pastor Esiri’s criticism, sparking a wave of online reactions that kept the issue trending for days. The exchange divided opinions, with some defending Ebuka’s openness and others calling for accountability.

In a recent video shared on social media, Ebuka Songs expressed deep regret for both the livestream and his reaction to the backlash. Addressing his global audience, church leaders, and fans, he said:

“To everyone offended by my action, I apologise, and my reaction as well, I apologise. That was not my intention.”

The apology has drawn mixed reactions online. While many praised Ebuka for taking responsibility, others called for further reflection and urged fellow ministers to uphold the sanctity of gospel platforms.

The incident has reignited conversations around spiritual boundaries, online ministry conduct, and the influence of social media personalities in faith spaces. As the dust begins to settle, Ebuka Songs’ apology marks a turning point in what has been one of the most talked-about gospel controversies of the year.
