Nigeria Will Defeat South Africa, Rwanda – Ikpeba

Ikpeba

Former International athlete Victor Ikpeba voiced his support for the Super Eagles on Tuesday, August 26, encouraging them to regain their stride in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification process by securing victories over Rwanda and South Africa.

As per the current statistics, it is claimed that Eric Chelle’s team (The Super Eagles of Nigeria) has managed only one victory in six matches during the qualifying series.

‎Currently, the West Africans sit in fourth place in their group, having accumulated seven points from six games.

According to the analysis of the table, South Africa is at the top of the group with 13 points, having played the same number of matches as the Nigerian Super Eagles.

‎Nigeria is set to host the Amavubi of Rwanda in a matchday seven fixture at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Saturday, September 6. Four days later, they will head to Bloemfontein for a match against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.

‎However, the former Super Eagles sensation Victor Ikpeba is confident that the Super Eagles will succeed in their upcoming matches.

‎”There’s pride, determination, and honour in representing your country. I believe the players are now prepared and motivated to perform well against Rwanda and South Africa,” the former Monaco striker stated in an interview with SuperSport.

‎According to speculative reports, it is anticipated that the Super Eagles’ camp for both matches will commence next week on Monday.
