‎Remo’s Coach Dedicates 100th Match to Family

‎Remo’s Coach dedicates 100th match to family — which includes the management, fans, players, and technical crew — referring to them as the foundation of the team’s success.

‎This milestone was achieved last Friday in Abeokuta, where Ogunmodede led Remo Stars to a 1-1 draw against Rivers United in the opening match of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

‎Affectionately known as “Ijaball,” Ogunmodede celebrated the occasion as an NPFL champion, having guided the Ikenne-based club to their first-ever league title in the 2025 season — a remarkable achievement that has firmly established his name in both the club’s history and Nigerian football lore.

‎Since taking the reins, the 41-year-old coach has overseen a transformative journey at Remo Stars, creating a team now recognized as one of the most competitive in the nation. His first 100 matches in charge have resulted in 53 victories, 20 draws, and 27 defeats, with a total of 132 goals scored across all competitions.

‎Ogunmodede has also guided Remo Stars to participate in the CAF Champions League qualifiers, providing the club with valuable experience on the continental level.

‎Renowned for his focus on youth development, attacking play, and tactical discipline, Ogunmodede has emerged as a role model among Nigerian coaches and a beloved figure at Remo Stars.

‎With 100 matches completed, the coach now aims to maintain domestic success and make significant strides in continental competitions.
