Remo’s Coach dedicates 100th match to family — which includes the management, fans, players, and technical crew — referring to them as the foundation of the team’s success.
This milestone was achieved last Friday in Abeokuta, where Ogunmodede led Remo Stars to a 1-1 draw against Rivers United in the opening match of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
Affectionately known as “Ijaball,” Ogunmodede celebrated the occasion as an NPFL champion, having guided the Ikenne-based club to their first-ever league title in the 2025 season — a remarkable achievement that has firmly established his name in both the club’s history and Nigerian football lore.
Since taking the reins, the 41-year-old coach has overseen a transformative journey at Remo Stars, creating a team now recognized as one of the most competitive in the nation. His first 100 matches in charge have resulted in 53 victories, 20 draws, and 27 defeats, with a total of 132 goals scored across all competitions.
