‎‘I’m Pleased to Have A Leader Like Him’ – Ole Gunnar

‎Wilfred Ndidi, a Nigerian international player, has been praised by Besiktas manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
‎Solskjaer, who used to manage Manchester United, showed his respect for Ndidi before the first leg of Besiktas’ UEFA Conference League playoff match against Lausanne-Sport in Switzerland.

‎Ndidi and Solskjaer had crossed paths during their time at Leicester City and Manchester United.

‎In March 2021, when Ndidi played for Leicester and they beat Manchester United 3-1 in the FA Cup quarterfinals, Solskjaer was still the manager at Old Trafford.

‎Ndidi is part of Besiktas’ team heading to Switzerland and is also set to speak to the media.

‎At a press conference before the game, Solskjaer talked about how happy he is to have Ndidi in the team.

‎He said, “A few words about Wilfred, he has proven himself well.”

‎“You can see he is a highly professional athlete, a wonderful individual, and he provides us with something we have been lacking.”

‎“I am extremely pleased to have him here, very happy to have a leader of his caliber, and he will make significant contributions to the team in the months and years ahead, so I am very delighted that we acquired him.”
